Inflammation associated with Right Dorsal Colitis:

Variations can be relatively minor irritation of the colon lining to life treating surgery cases. The use of NSAIDs daily maintenance or only at shows can cause inflammation of the Right Dorsal Colon. There are many other factors that can cause stress and inflammation without the use of NSAIDs. The purpose of this study is to evaluate and correlate three modes of diagnostics and evaluate response to treatment. The evaluation and treatment protocols have been developed over the past 8 years by Equine Performance Microbiome with hundreds of horses evaluated.
Symptoms:
Fecal water, Cow Paddy Soft Manure, Not Able to Maintain Weight and intermittent colic.
In minor cases the only sign of a problem may be reduced performance without a specific underlying cause: such as joint, tendon and/or suspensory inflammation.
Testing can help evaluate the level of inflammation present and determine if treatment is necessary.
Is Fecal Water due to a dietary change or true inflammation.
Horses that have decreased in performance and shown elevated protocol markers have consistently responded to treatment.
